"I felt it necessary to say that this
program has been a great aid in my personal life. From the very first
week of my lesson I have been in touch with the spiritual side of my
personality that has taken over much of who I
am. I can honestly say that I am a much better person, ( not to
say that I wasn't before) with a much broader picture of who I am and my
purpose in life.

About Us
|
ACC has been a part of the
metropolitan Atlanta’s legal landscape since 1997. In this
time, we have learned a great deal about providing professional pretrial
intervention services. The following indicates some of what we have learned.
Forty percent (40%) of those who enter this program
complete within the original 90-day period. Twenty percent (20%) of our
participants will complete within twelve to eighteen months, and five
percent (5%) will complete beyond an eighteen-month period. Thirty-five
percent (35%) will never complete and end back up in the system as
recidivist. For those who have completed the Alternative Choices program,
ninety-eight (98%) have not come back into the system over a twenty-four
month tracking period.
Every person who has completed the program has bought
into the concept of sacrificing to achieve, and taking personal
responsibility for his or her actions. Exit interviews tell us that
having individuals penalize themselves, establishes the value of self
–discipline. Educating and exposing the participant’s mind while employing
the use of objective technology creates a motivating force to adjust both
attitude and outlook on ones future behavior. Ninety-three (93%) percent of
our participants indicate that the spiritual programming combined with the
self penalizing method of accountability attribute to understanding that
they control their thoughts, actions, environment, and associations. One
hundred
(100%) of those who exit our program complete a six-month goal and action
plan. All plans indicated activities that steer the participant away from
the criminal justice system.
